About Montpellier

Montpellier is  a city in southern France

The whole metropolitan area had a population of about 600,000.

The climate is Mediterranean (expected in september dry, sunny and 25.0°C (77 F) during the day, 15.0°C (59 F) during the nights.

Montpellier is 160 km (100 mi) from Marseille and 300 km (170 mi) from the French riviera.

The University of Montpellier is one of the oldest in the world, founded in 1160, where approx. 50 000 students are registered.

The city is a centre for cultural events since there are many students.
